Marine Bruttin
Marine joined the Social Brain Sciences Group in October 2024 to pursue her Master’s Thesis as part of her Joint Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences at UZH and ETH. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences Engineering from EPFL (ETH in Lausanne).
Her thesis contributes to Luca Leisten’s project on social robots in education, focusing on children's perceptions of hard and soft social robots. Marine will design both types of robot shells and conduct a pilot study to observe children's interactions with them.
Before this, Marine interned at a company in Sydney developing innovative treatments for age-related dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, where she assisted in initiating preclinical trials.
In her free time, Marine enjoys walking, visiting museums, dancing, and relaxing in cozy cafés with a good book. She also loves spending time with friends and has a passion for traveling, road trips, and backpacking adventures.
