Join Our Team
We will next be looking for 1-2 PhD students to join our team for a September 2027 start. Please check back here in January 2027 for more details. Note that we can only accept PhD students who have completed a masters degree in a relevant discipline (ideally cognitive neuroscience/neuroscience/psychology/social robotics) and that we prioritise applicants who have completed the external page IDB masters program and/or who have applied through the JDPLS program.
Please note we cannot accept self-funded PhD students, but we can look into accepting PhD students who have independent funding from another third-party organisation if they fulfil all other entry criteria.
We do not have any fully-funded postdoc positions available at present. However, we are often able to serve as hosts for talented individuals applying for or coming in with their own postdoc funding. If you're passionate about our work and believe you would be a great fit, please send your CV and any ideas you have for funding schemes you would like to apply for. Please note that the SBS Lab can support only 1 ETH Fellowship applicant and 1 Collegium Helveticum Early Career Fellowship applicant per application round. Usually these support slots are agreed upon 4-6 months before the application deadline (in other words, please don’t write to us 2 weeks before the deadline and ask if we can support your application!).
Please note: for internships, research, and thesis projects, refer to the Research and Thesis Project page for application details.
