Enzo Ubaldo Petrocco

PhD student in Robotics Engineering and Intelligent Machines at the University of Genoa, Enzo Ubaldo Petrocco is visiting ETH Zürich for 6 months from January 2025, where he focuses on cultural competence in social robotics. With a background that includes a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Information Technology Engineering and a master’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Enzo’s research delves into how social robots can be designed to understand and adapt to cultural diversity. His work also examines how machine learning algorithms can achieve cultural competence under constraints of underrepresentation, contributing to more inclusive and socially aware robotic systems.
Outside of his academic endeavors, he enjoys reading, staying active through sports, and exploring the world of music with his guitar.
